The construction process

From start to finish took 9 months with several delays due to snow and the location. All the framing, siding and windows came from Canada in 2 containers.

About this house

This is a Canadian house imported as a kit set. We had some builders come over from Canada to oversee the construction. The insulation and construction makes this house warm and cosy needing less heating. All the windows are double glazed and have fly screens as standard. The roof is asphalt tiles which also helps to hold the heat in.

The project so far

Although the house is finished the landscaping and driveway is a work in progress. No fencing is allowed up here and the soil doesn't lend its self to growing plants. We might have to wait until spring for the next phase.
